ARRIVED!!

I have arrived in London! I have spend the last few days exploring and seeing the sights. I am just loving London so easy to get around and such a great city! I have spend a bit of time enjoying browsing the shelves of supermarkets and food stores.  Whole food is just amazing I cant believe it.

Wasabi and Chocolate not quite sure about that one.

Cadbury cream egg ice cream

Whole foods range of Green and Black Chocolate

My kind of sandwich at Pret-a-Manger "no bread sandwich"

Restaurant in Kensington High St in my name, I think its a must visit!

Lu and Eliza outside Nottinghill Ottolenghi, Amazing Spread of food!

East of London Lunch at Spitalfield Markets.
Chicken and Board Bean Salad with a tarragon dressing. Flavourless and not seasoned well could taste any tarragon that for sure! After an average meal we then discovered that the market had another section with amazing street food, currys, pie, falafel etc. Will have to make sure i go back!

Cool menu and design of the restaurant

After the market we then went for a walk down Brick lane. Cool area quite alternative, almost seem like the fitzroy or brunswick of london. Not much going on during the day but seemed like a lot of bars more a night spot.
Amazing old school traditional layered cakes in the window or a coffee shop.
The next day Sally took us all on a tour of london on bike!
We started at portbello road and wonder through portabello market. Had breakfast at a place called Tom.
Cakes at Tom's
First stop was through Kensington Gardens then onto hype park, buckingham palace, london bridge

We ended the bike tour at borough markets, which is just beautiful and have the most amazing food and produce! At this point my camera had run out of batteries so photos are poor! Im sure there will be more in another post, borough markets will be become a weekly thing!

Amazing range of tomato. I love how colourful all the summer fruits and vegetables are

Cos and Balsamic Salad with Broad bean, Ricotta, Prosciutto and Zucchini. This was the salad i made from the produce i brought at the market.

Royal Ascot
What a great was so much fun and so special to be there to see Black Caviar win!
We all caught a double decker bus down there, which was organised by some Australians living here in total there was 70 of us on the bus pretty much all Australians living over here.  We were in the silver ring section, like the public area defiantly a contrast from the flemington nursery.

Back soon!
